DESCRIPTION:Our Blended Learning First Aid at Work course consists of 6 hours online learning followed by 2 days classroom based training. \nOnce you have booked on to the course you will receive an email from us containing your login details for our eLearning portal. \nOnline learning must be completed before attending your classroom based training. \nThe course provides learners with in-depth information and skills on how to provide effective treatment and care to a person\, or persons that become ill or injured whilst at work. The course has a large emphasis on practical application of the skills learnt and ample opportunity is provided for hands-on practice in a relaxed\, low stress environment.

SUMMARY:First Aid at Work Requalification 29th April 2026
DESCRIPTION:This is an Awarding Organisation compliant course as regulated by the Health & Safety Executive. A two-day re-qualification course that meets the current Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations. The course is delivered in accordance with the Approved Code of Practice L74 for qualifying First Aid personnel in the workplace. \nThis re-qualification is only available to students who have previously attended a full\, 3-day First Aid at Work course. \nThe course instructor will need to be supplied with a copy of the previous certificate prior to attending the re-qualification course. \nThis certificate can be only be supplied by any HSE approved supplier of First Aid at Work and should contain the providers approval number. \nThe certificate must either be current or not have expired in excess of 30 days prior to re-qualification start date. \nAs with the full First Aid at Work course there is a large emphasis on practical application of the skills learnt and ample opportunity is provided for hands-on practice in a relaxed\, low stress environment. \nCandidates will receive refresher training in a wide range of first aid skills including: \n\nThe ability to act safely and effectively when an accident or emergency occurs\nThe treatment and priorities of care for an unconscious casualty\nThe recognition of cardiac arrest and delivery of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)\nThe ability to safely and promptly treat a casualty who is bleeding\nThe ability to recognise and treat a casualty in shock\nThe keeping of simple records following an accident at work\n\nStudents will also learn to provide care for a casualty who has: \n\nsuffered a burn or scald\ninjured bones\, muscles or joints\nbeen poisoned by ingestion or inhalation of a substance or gas\nsuffered an injury to the eye\nsigns & symptoms of a major illness e.g. heart attack\n\nCandidates are required to undertake an assessment of knowledge and practical skill application on the final day of the course by an approved assessor who is independent and has not taken part in any of the training.
